Things a reasonable person might expect that we have not built. We say so out loud rather than let silence imply we have them.
- Team seats. Not built. An account is one person today.
- Change alert emails. Not built. You can create a watch on a Pro plan and it stores a snapshot of the cited values, but nothing emails you when one changes yet, so do not rely on being told.
- Automated tax filing. Not built. We report rates and cite them; we do not file returns for you.
- Direct channel booking sync (write-back). Not built. We read public iCal exports; we do not push availability back to Airbnb or Vrbo.

Billing questions
What does the free plan actually include?
Every cited STR-rules and lodging-tax page, all four calculators, and one saved property with iCal calendar sync. No card. What free does not do is the recurring job: watch a city for a rule change or a rate for a tax change, sync more than one property, export, or call the API at volume with a live key.
Is the free tier a real throttle or a trial?
A real throttle, not a countdown. Free stays free: it is limited to 1 saved property, no change monitoring, no exports and no live API key. Those are the things that make it a subscription rather than a one-off lookup.
Do I need a paid plan to use the API?
No. Every endpoint works with no key at the anonymous rate, and a test API key is free on every plan, runs the real dataset and never bills. A live production key at your plan's quota is a Pro or Scale feature.
What is the difference between Pro and Scale?
Pro (Unlimited properties · rule + tax change watches · 1,000 API calls/mo, then $0.05 each) fits a host or small manager running property every week. Scale (Everything in Pro · 10,000 API calls/mo, then $0.03 each) is for portfolios, agencies and products built on the API at higher volume.
Does LodgeDeck file my lodging tax for me?
No. We report rates and cite them; we do not file returns for you. Automated tax filing is not built, and we say so rather than imply it.
